Today I answer the question, “Why will God not grant me true repentance and way out?” from Victoria Abram.

Today I answer the question, “Why will God not grant me true repentance and way out?” from Victoria Abram.

Your answer is in found in multiple books of the Bible however the most detailed answer is found in John 17 and Romans chapters 9 - 11.

First and foremost, one must understand that salvation is of the Lord. Humans have no say in who goes to heaven and who goes to hell. While I understand what most on this thread has said with so-called free will and repentance however the manner in which it is represented, it gives the impression that the sinner is in control and not the Almighty, Holy, Righteous and Just God. How is that possible? It's not.

The God of the scriptures is a Potentate which means an absolute Monarch. He does share nor delegate His authority to wicked, wretched, filthy, rotten, and evil sinners. Listen to the Almighty.

14 that you keep this commandment without spot, blameless until our Lord Jesus Christ's appearing, 15 which He will manifest in His own time, He who is the blessed and only POTENTATE, the King of kings and Lord of lords, 16 who alone has immortality, dwelling in unapproachable light, whom no man has seen or can see, to whom be honor and everlasting power. Amen. 1 Timothy 6:14-16

6 and said: "O LORD God of our fathers, are You not God in heaven, and do You not rule over all the kingdoms of the nations, and in Your hand is there not power and might, so that no one is able to withstand You? 2 Chronicles 20:6

10 He does great things past finding out, Yes, wonders without number. 11 If He goes by me, I do not see Him; If He moves past, I do not perceive Him; 12 If He takes away, who can hinder Him? Who can say to Him, 'What are You doing?' Job 9:10-12

13 "But He is unique, and who can make Him change? And whatever His soul desires, that He does. Job 23:13

3 But our God is in heaven; He does whatever He pleases. Psalms 115:3

5 For I know that the LORD is great, and our Lord is above all gods. 6 Whatever the LORD pleases He does, in heaven and in earth, in the seas and in all deep places. Psalms 135:5-6

10 The LORD brings the counsel of the nations to nothing; He makes the plans of the peoples of no effect. 11 The counsel of the LORD stands forever, the plans of His heart to all generations. Psalms 33:10-11

21 There are many plans in a man's heart, nevertheless the LORD's counsel—that will stand. Proverbs 19:21

24 The LORD of hosts has sworn, saying, "Surely, as I have thought, so it shall come to pass, and as I have purposed, so it shall stand:…27 For the LORD of hosts has purposed, and who will annul it? His hand is stretched out, and who will turn it back?" Isaiah 14:24, 27

12 Who has measured the waters in the hollow of His hand, measured heaven with a span and calculated the dust of the earth in a measure? Weighed the mountains in scales and the hills in a balance? 13 Who has directed the Spirit of the LORD, or as His counselor has taught Him?_14 With whom did He take counsel, and who instructed Him, and taught Him in the path of justice? Who taught Him knowledge, and showed Him the way of understanding? 15 Behold, the nations are as a drop in a bucket, and are counted as the small dust on the scales; look, He lifts up the isles as a very little thing. 16 And Lebanon is not sufficient to burn, nor its beasts sufficient for a burnt offering. 17 All nations before Him are as nothing, and they are counted by Him less than nothing and worthless. 8 To whom then will you liken God? Or what likeness will you compare to Him? Isaiah 40:12-18

That is the God of the Bible. Does that sound like God is dependent the sinner to you? Are you kidding me! How can the sinner, who is DEAD IN TRESPASSES AND SINS, repent? The last time I checked dead people do not talk, they don't say prayers, the don't confess, they don't hear, see, nor do any such thing that the people God makes alive does. You all have the wrong God and if you have the wrong God, you have the wrong salvation.

Ephesians 2:1 - And you HE (GOD) MADE (by force on His own) ALIVE (this is the new birth, no human effort allowed, why not? Because you and I), who were dead in trespasses and sins,

Just in case we missed it the first time, God says it again but this time He tells us why, and when He made us alive and what He did with us after giving us life.

Ephesians 2:4-6 "But God, who is rich in mercy (this is the first cause), because of His great love (this is the second cause) with which He loved us (noticed it is "us" and not everyone), (this is the first effect) even when (this is when He made us alive) we were dead in trespasses (AS A DEAD PERSON - what did you contribute? TRESPASSES), made us alive (second effect - a newly created human spirit) together with Christ (this is the third effect) (by grace you have been saved), and (fourth effect) raised us up together, and (fifth and final effect) made us (we are "MADE", we don't volunteer) sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, (the sinner is now "born from above" - which means the old human spirit is killed and God creates a new human spirit in its place. God has to make the DEAD SINNER alive first, then the sinner sees himself in his own filth, then he can repent.) That is biblical salvation.

The Lord described this entire process to the prophets Ezekiel and Jeremiah. Notice all the I wills. After the I wills the last thing to take place is the "you wills". The "you wills" starts with seeing you are a wretched sinner and "loathe yourself" hence the sinner is now alive, able to repent, believe God, and obey God.

Ezekiel 36:31-32

Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean; I will cleanse you from all your filthiness and from all your idols. I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them. Then you shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; you shall be My people, and I will be your God. I will deliver you from all your uncleannesses. I will call for the grain and multiply it, and bring no famine upon you. And I will multiply the fruit of your trees and the increase of your fields, so that you need never again bear the reproach of famine among the nations. you will remember your evil ways and your deeds that were not good; and you will loathe yourselves in your own sight, for your iniquities and your abominations. Not for your sake do I do this,” says the Lord GOD, “let it be known to you. Be ashamed and confounded for your own ways, O house of Israel!”

That is biblical salvation. I have no idea where people get this foolishness that the sinner is in control. Dead people are not in control of anything because THEY ARE DEAD! In trespasses and sins!

The sinner does not get to dictate to the Most High God, when-where-how nor if to save him. That is absolute foolishness!
