What does the scriptures say about avoiding alcohol all together?

Today I answer the question “Does the bible say anything about avoiding alcohol all together???” From Troy Nixon

Here’s the Biblical answer to your question. The answer is twofold. Why? You may ask. Because God tells true believers that:
1. Our external behaviors should not cause our brothers and sisters in Christ to stumble. That’s the man-ward Christian lifestyle.
2. Our external behaviors should first and foremost always lovingly glorify our Lord to whom we are indebted and are His slaves for all eternity.

Man-ward:
1 Corinthians 8:7-13
However, there is not in everyone that knowledge; for some, with consciousness of the idol, until now eat it as a thing offered to an idol; and their conscience, being weak, is defiled. But food does not commend us to God; for neither if we eat are we the better, nor if we do not eat are we the worse.
But beware lest somehow this liberty of yours become a stumbling block to those who are weak. For if anyone sees you who have knowledge eating in an idol's temple, will not the conscience of him who is weak be emboldened to eat those things offered to idols? And because of your knowledge shall the weak brother perish, for whom Christ died? But when you thus sin against the brethren, and wound their weak conscience, you sin against Christ. Therefore, if food makes my brother stumble, I WILL NEVER AGAIN EAT MEAT, LEST I MAKE MY BROTHER STUMBLE.

Will your drinking of alcohol cause weaker Christians to fall from their steadfastness in following Christ?

Will your drinking of alcohol keep unbelievers from believing the Gospel?

God-ward
Colossians 3:17
And whatever you do in word or deed, DO ALL IN THE NAME OF THE LORD JESUS, GIVING THANKS TO GOD THE FATHER THROUGH HIM.
1 Corinthians 10:31
Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, DO ALL TO THE GLORY OF GOD.

Will your drinking of alcohol, seen by the angels and men cause them to worship our God, saying with a loud voice shaking the heavens, holy-holy-holy is the Lord of hosts?

Will you lift up your glass of alcohol to the Holy Throne of the Lord God Almighty who dwells in blinding unapproachable light that no man has seen nor can see and say unto the Holiest of All, cheers?

Read those scriptures, answer those questions then ask yourself again is it ACCEPTABLE for a true believer to drink alcohol.
